Next Thursday July 24th, LARC and LA Press Club are co-hosting an evening on immigration coverage in Los Angeles. Held at the LA Press Club’s theater in Historic Filipinotown, the evening will spotlight local reporters and editors working to center humanity, safety, and truth-telling in a summer of enforcement and raids.
Speakers include Dana Amihere (Founder/Executive Director of AfroLA), Jessica Perez (Senior Editor of Boyle Heights Beat), Jeremy Lindenfeld (Reporter, Capital and Main), and Mariah Castañeda (Audience Director and Co-Founder of LA Public Press), and the discussion will be moderated by Leslie Berestein Rojas (Associate Professor of Professional Practice and Director of Audio News at USC Annenberg).
We’ll also have plenty of time to mingle and enjoy light refreshments + wine!
